About This Coffee

We named this most delightful seasonal espresso 'Derek' as the antidote to the 'hip' in the speciality coffee world. Derek is not just any blend; it is a carefully crafted fusion of three exceptional fully washed coffees - Ethiopian, El Salvadoran and Brazilian. With the varietals of Heirloom, Bourbon, Mundo Novo and Catuaí, each coffee brings a unique flavour profile to the blend, resulting in a beautifully balanced espresso that truly stands out.

What sets Derek apart is its pleasant acidity and a full-bodied texture, this espresso tantalises the taste buds with a symphony of flavours. Derek is a true embodiment of coffee craftsmanship, experts concluded as they presented the Great Taste Award 2022 for Derek.

Roasting Derek

To create Derek, we source high-quality beans from Ethiopia, capturing their vibrant and fruity notes. We then add chocolate and almonds with our Brazilian beans, adding depth and richness to the espresso's taste. Finally, we incorporate biscuity vanilla from El Salvador, infusing a subtle sweetness that perfectly complements the other flavours.
